As a father and son, we raise money for scholarships at Bergen Community College by performing stand-up comedy. We do this in memory of our wife and mother, Isabella Altano.
Isabella found her way to Bergen as a new immigrant to the United States. She earned an Associates degree in art, and started on the path to her career in architecture and photography. She later returned as an adjunct professor to teach others before her untimely death.
When she died, we her friends and family created a scholarship that supports emerging artists at Bergen. This initiative both honors her memory and allows a new generation of artists to follow in her footsteps.
